I specialize in forged cutlery created in the tradition of an era past, complemented by the unique leather work of Karen Shook. Karen and I craft each item in its entirety. Specifications can usually be adapted from one design to another depending on individual preference. Each hand forged piece I make bears the DWinkler touchmark.
New in 2009 is Winkler Knives II- An Alternate Approach to An Established Tradition. Winkler Knives II is the result of processes I developed over the past few years in order to provide axes and knives to Teams within United States Army Special Operations and US Naval Special Warfare. Each piece in this collection bears the Winkler Knives II touchmark.
